News and News Editors

Well, this has been a pretty good month—both for me personally and for IROSF. On the personal level, I graduated with my BA, a big accomplishment for me, and then my fiancé and I set the date for our wedding (yes, it is exciting). On the larger magazine level, IROSF had one of the smoothest publishing months that we've had in a long time, with a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff still in the works. One thing that we've improved is our Café Press store. We have a new image and several new items available. More are in the works, so keep an eye out, or watch our Twitter page for up-to-the-minute news.

Speaking of behind-the-scenes updates, please help us welcome Scott James Magner as our News editor. He replaces Marti McKenna, who is suffering the not unwelcome affliction of a Day Job. Scott has been an SF fan all his life and over the last thirteen years, he has been a writer, editor, and game designer within the genre as well as a regular convention attendee. We're thrilled to have him with us.

If you haven't heard about our new sister site, Red Rocket Station, then let me point you in that direction now. RRS has over 350 members so far, with a variety of things to talk about or get involved in. Introduce yourself and then start getting involved in the community. It's the perfect place to stay in contact and up-to-date with others from the SF/F community.

Finally, we'd like to thank everyone who donated to IROSF this past month. We received more donations in March than we have in all the prior months combined! There's more work to be done to keep us afloat, but we're headed in the right direction. We also got a good response to our special feature last month, and want to extend a special word of thanks to all who contributed to cancer research. Thank you so much to everyone who got involved somehow last month. It is definitely appreciated.

Those are all the announcements I've got for you. We've got a great issue this month and hope that you enjoy all that we've put together for you.
